Join us to discover the Northwest coast of Mauritius and Bernache Island!
You’ll spend an unforgettable day in an authentic setting, with a passionate local team.
Departure is from Grand Gaube public beach at 8:00 AM.
After a 20-30 minute boat ride, you can enjoy a snorkeling session on the coral reef, a spot with a wide variety of corals and tropical fish. Turtles are sometimes spotted.
You’ll then reach Bernache Island after another 30 minutes by boat, for a relaxing break before lunch.
For lunch, a delicious meal awaits: an aperitif with garlic butter bread and shrimp skewers, followed by a barbecue featuring lobster ( if option), chicken, sausages, and fish, accompanied by saffron rice and a mixed salad. To finish on a high note, you’ll enjoy a flambéed banana and roasted pineapple for dessert. The meal will be accompanied by your choice of drinks: homemade punch, white wine, beer, homemade infused rum, water, and various sodas (other drinks are available upon request).
After the meal, you will have free time to explore the island or simply relax on this magnificent, authentic, and shaded beach.
You will then board the boat for approximately 20 minutes to reach ÃŽle d’Ambre and discover a vital and wild ecosystem: the mangroves. This area is home to many of Mauritius’s marine plants and species.* You will then return to the coast for the trip back to Grand Gaube, scheduled for around 3:00 PM.
*Depending on the time of high tide, the mangrove visit may take place before lunch.
